Milestone #160 Opt 2b (mood half of the era+mood option). A fourth taste
facet alongside artists + genre tags + eras: signed weights over canonical
mood buckets (melancholic / energetic / chill / …) derived from a track's
enriched folksonomy tags (#1490).
- internal/mood: shared vocabulary — Of(tags) maps folksonomy tags to
canonical mood buckets (synonyms collapse). Imported by both the taste
builder and the scorer so a track's mood is derived identically.
- Migration 0047: taste_profile_moods table + taste_tuning.mood_scale
(DEFAULT 0.5).
- Build side (internal/taste): Config.MoodScale ([0,1] damper, mirrors
EraScale); accumulate folds each play/like's mood buckets at
base*MoodScale; persist atomic-replaces the mood rows.
- Scorer (internal/recommendation): TasteProfile gains a mood term
(own tanh scale + additive 0.12 share, so it never weakens the existing
signal when a track has no mood tags). Match now takes the candidate's
mood buckets; loaded per candidate (ListTrackTagsForTracks → mood.Of) in
the primary similarity loader only — the near-whole-library fallback
pool passes nil (mood → 0) to avoid a full-library tag scan.
- Tuning lab: mood_scale threaded through recsettings + admin API + web
card ("Mood weight" row) + Go/web tests.
Coverage is partial (grows with tag enrichment; richer once Last.fm is
keyed), so mood is a supplement — neutral for tracks with no mood tags.

Milestone #160 Opt 3 (temporal half). A new additive scoring term that
boosts a candidate when its artist's play history concentrates in the
CURRENT daypart × weekday-type cell, in the user's local timezone.
- Migration 0046: recommendation_weight_profiles.context_time_weight
(per-profile scoring weight, DEFAULT 1.0).
- Query ListArtistContextPlayCountsForUser: per-artist completed-play
counts split by the current cell (daypart night[22,5)/morning[5,12)/
afternoon[12,17)/evening[17,22) × weekday-vs-weekend) via
started_at AT TIME ZONE users.timezone; 365-day window, skips excluded.
- internal/recommendation/context.go: LoadContextAffinity computes each
artist's shrunk cell-share minus the user's baseline share, clamped to
[-1,1]; sparse artists shrink toward baseline (pseudo-count 5), unknown
artists → 0 (cold-start neutral).
- Score() gains context_affinity_score · ContextTimeWeight; both
candidate loaders set it per candidate.
- Tuning lab: ContextTimeWeight threaded through recsettings + admin API
+ web card ("Time-of-day weight" row) + Go/web tests. Shipped 1.0 both
profiles (uniform start, re-bakeable).
Device-class axis deferred to #1551 (needs a client_id → device-class
mapping that doesn't exist yet).

Milestone #160 Opt 2 (era half). A third taste facet alongside artists
+ genre tags: signed weights over decade buckets ("1990s") derived from
albums.release_date, rebuilt daily and scored into the taste match.
- Migration 0045: taste_profile_eras table (mirrors taste_profile_tags)
+ taste_tuning.era_scale column (DEFAULT 0.5).
- Build side (internal/taste): Config.EraScale ([0,1] damper, mirrors
EnrichedTagScale), accumulate folds each play/like's decade at
base*EraScale, persist atomic-replaces the era rows.
- Scorer (internal/recommendation): TasteProfile gains an era term (own
tanh scale + additive 0.15 share so it never weakens the existing
artist/tag signal when a track is undated); candidate queries return
album release_date; decadeOf mirrors the builder helper.
- Tuning lab: era_scale threaded through recsettings + admin API + web
card (auto-renders the new row) + Go/web tests.
Mood facet deferred to #1534 (partial enrichment coverage + needs
candidate-side enriched-tag loading).

Promote the enriched-tag weight (#1490) from a taste.Config default into
the DB-backed tuning lab so operators can dial how much folksonomy tags
count vs raw ID3 genre (rule #25).
- Migration 0044: taste_tuning.enriched_tag_scale (DEFAULT 0.5, backfills
the existing row).
- recsettings: TasteTuning gains the field; seeded/read/updated through
reconcile + persistTaste; applyTastePatch validates it to [0,1]
(generic non-half-life clamp) and diffTaste audits it; TasteConfig maps
it into the profile build.
- API: tasteTuningResp exposes enriched_tag_scale.
- Web tuning card: a data-driven "Enriched tag weight" knob (0 = genre
only). Tests: recsettings persist+range, web fixture field.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Add a "Tag enrichment sources" card to the admin integrations page,
mirroring the cover-art providers card: per-provider enable toggle +
API-key field + Save + Test connection, over /api/admin/tag-sources.
Enabling/keying a source (e.g. pasting a Last.fm key) re-opens settled
tracks for re-enrichment via the version bump.
- admin.ts: TagProvider types + get/update/test functions +
createTagProvidersQuery; qk.tagProviders key.
- integrations/+page.svelte: the card + local edit state, with
MusicBrainz (keyless baseline) and Last.fm (needs a free key) notes.
- Tests: admin.tag-sources API test + integrations component tests
(render / enable+key save / test connection), plus the mock plumbing
the existing suite needs for the new query.

The verify half of the tune→verify loop (#1251), on the same admin
Tuning page as the knobs:
- RecommendationWeeklyTrends: weekly per-source outcomes aggregated
across all users (the knobs are global, so judging a turn needs
global outcomes — rows carry rates only, no track/user identity),
with a taste-hit count per bucket: plays whose track's artist has a
positive weight in the player's current taste profile. That's the
"cheap recompute" reading — retroactive over the whole window, at
the cost of profile drift.
- GET /api/admin/recommendation-trends?weeks=N (default 12, cap 52):
per-family weekly series (skip rate, sample-weighted completion,
taste-hit rate) plus the tuning-audit markers inside the window.
- Web: sparkline table under the tuning cards — skip rate per week on
a shared axis with dashed ticks at knob turns, latest-week columns,
window taste-hit rate, low-volume rows dimmed as anecdote, and a
plain-text list of the window's tuning changes.
Also fixes the revive unused-parameter lint on the tuning GET handler
that failed CI run 1903 on the previous commit.

The recommendation scoring knobs move out of YAML (radio profile) and
out of the systemMixWeights hard-code (daily_mix profile) into
DB-backed settings with live effect (#1250) — the defaults-discovery
lab per decision #1247: the operator turns knobs to find good values,
which then get baked back into shipped defaults; end users and other
operators should never need the card.
- Migration 0040: recommendation_weight_profiles (radio / daily_mix,
8 weight columns), taste_tuning singleton (engagement half-life +
completion-curve points), recommendation_tuning_audit (one row per
change with a {field, old, new} diff — the trend view's markers,
#1251).
- internal/recsettings: boot reconcile seeds shipped defaults without
clobbering tuned rows (coverart SettingsService pattern), validates
patches (bounds, curve ordering), writes audit rows, and pushes
daily_mix weights + taste config into package playlists. No-op
patches write no audit row.
- playlists gains SetSystemMixWeights / SetTasteConfig swap points
under a RWMutex — no signature threading through the producers; the
scheduler's taste rebuild reads the pushed config.
- Radio reads its weight profile from the service per request; the 8
weight fields leave config.RecommendationConfig (YAML keeps only
RecentlyPlayedHours / RadioSize / RadioSizeMax).
- Admin API: GET/PATCH/reset under /api/admin/recommendation-tuning,
echoing current + shipped values.
- Web: new admin Tuning tab — two weight profiles side by side, taste
card, per-scope save (changed fields only) + reset, deviation dots
against shipped defaults.

The #1249 mechanism (stamp WHY a track is in the snapshot at build
time, freeze it onto the play at ingestion, break it down in metrics)
generalizes from a For You one-off to the standard for every system
mix (#1270):
- Migration 0039 widens both pick_kind CHECKs (drop + re-add in the
same change) to taste/fresh + Discover's dormant/cross_user/random
+ tier1-3 for the rule-#131 eligibility ladders.
- GetForYouPickKindForTrack becomes GetSystemPickKindForTrack
(user, variant, track); ingestion stamps any systemPlaylistSources
play from its own variant's live snapshot, live + offline paths.
- Discover stamps its candidate bucket on discoverTrack before the
interleave, making the 40/30/30 allocation measurable; dedup keeps
the taking bucket's stamp.
- Metrics replace the for_you special-case with one pick-kind
vocabulary — any family with attributed plays gets a breakdown,
future stamping mixes need no metrics change.
- Web: breakdown sub-rows are now toggled per surface (collapsed by
default) so eight stamping mixes don't swamp the card.

Milestone #127 step 2 (#1249). For You deliberately blends two
populations — a head of top-scored taste picks and a tail sampled from
deeper ranking (the freshness injection) — but the metrics judged it as
one blob, so its skip rate couldn't distinguish "the taste engine is
missing" from "the freshness tax is too high". That number decides the
exploration share before we tune it.
- Migration 0038: nullable pick_kind ('taste'|'fresh') on both
playlist_tracks (stamped at snapshot build) and play_events (frozen at
play-ingestion — the snapshot rebuilds daily, so attribution cannot be
reconstructed at read time).
- Builder: pickHeadAndTail marks head=taste / tail=fresh; the small-pool
fallback is all taste (top-N-by-score IS the taste mechanism). Other
variants persist NULL.
- Ingestion: for_you plays (live + offline replay) look the track up in
the user's current snapshot; not found → unattributed, never guessed.
- Metrics: For You's row gains a breakdown (taste / fresh / earlier
unattributed plays), parent row stays the sum; web card renders the
sub-rows indented with the same baseline deltas + low-data dimming.

The recommendation metrics table was observable but not actionable: raw
source strings (album:<uuid> one-offs) drowned the stable surfaces, and
manual plays were excluded so skip rates had no control group.
- SQL: include NULL-source rows (the baseline) and carry completion_n
so family merges can weight avg_completion correctly.
- Handler buckets raw sources into stable families (radio:<uuid> →
Radio, album:/artist: → direct plays, etc.) grouped by surface
intent: go-to / discovery / direct — each band judged against its
job, since discovery mixes are expected to skip hotter. Families
under 20 plays are flagged low-confidence, not hidden.
- Settings card renders the baseline row and per-surface deltas in
percentage points vs baseline (worse-than-baseline deltas in danger
color), intent hint copy per group, low-data rows dimmed.
- Pure-unit test for the bucketing/merge; DB test updated to the new
contract (baseline included, radio:<uuid> collapse).

Android: a gated DiagnosticsReporter taps connectivity, server-health,
UPnP drops/player-state/route, power (Doze/battery-opt/screen), and
app fg/bg, plus a heartbeat snapshotting Sonos-vs-local position — the
locked-phone desync signal. Events buffer in a Room ring buffer
(deliberately NOT the MutationQueue: high-volume best-effort telemetry
that must survive the dead zone being debugged) and DiagnosticsUploader
drains them on a tick / health-recovery / sign-in.
Gating: the account flag (users.debug_mode_enabled) reaches the device
via a new /api/me refresh in AuthController; a per-device local OFF
switch lives in Settings. Reporter runs only when enabled && !optOut;
disabling drops the unsent buffer.
Web admin: /admin/diagnostics — pick account+device+kind+time-window,

No single-click destructive action belongs in the kebab. Removing the item
orphaned its whole path (RemoveTrackPopover was its only caller, and the
admin/tracks API client was the popover's only caller), so per the repo's
no-dead-code convention the chain is fully removed: the menu item + its
admin/isAdmin plumbing in TrackMenu, RemoveTrackPopover(.svelte/.test),
src/lib/api/admin/tracks(.ts/.test), and the now-needless transitive mocks
in the CompactTrackCard / PlaylistTrackRow / playlist specs.
The kebab is now an 8-item, admin-agnostic menu. The DELETE /api/admin/tracks
server endpoint is untouched — a future safer admin surface can rebind it.

Per-source play outcomes so the operator can see whether each recommendation
surface is landing and tune the now-operator-tunable taste weights.
Server:
- query RecommendationSourceMetricsForUser: groups the user's play_events by
source (system-playlist surface), reporting plays / skips / avg completion
over a window; NULL-source (library/radio) plays excluded.
- GET /api/me/recommendation-metrics?days=30 (default 30, capped 365) →
{window_days, sources:[{source, plays, skips, skip_rate, avg_completion}]}.
- handler test: 401 unauth; per-source aggregation + NULL-source exclusion +
skip_rate / avg_completion math.
Web:
- lib/api/metrics.ts: query + friendly source labels.
- settings page gains a "Recommendation metrics" card (table of surface / plays
/ skip rate / avg completion), with loading/error/empty states.
- settings tests mock the new query (manual subscribe-store, hoisting-safe).
Note: You-might-like plays aren't source-tagged (it's a Home row, not a system
playlist), so this covers For-You / Discover / the mixes. Tagging YML plays
would be a client follow-up.

The web UI rendered a fixed set of Home sections and had no code for the
server's you_might_like_albums / you_might_like_artists (shipped in
v2026.06.11), so the row was absent in the web client. Adds it, mirroring
the Rediscover block, positioned directly under the system-playlists row.
- types.ts HomePayload: two new slices (server always emits them; web ships
in lockstep with the server).
- +page.svelte: a "You might like" section (albums + artists scrollers) as the
first section under the playlists row, with a "still learning your taste"
empty state for the cold-start/gated case. Reuses existing AlbumCard /
ArtistCard / HorizontalScrollRow.
- home.test.ts / page.test.ts: mock payloads gain the two fields.
Completes the You-might-like row across all three clients (server already
emits it; Android in v2026.06.11; web here).

Six findings from the 2026-06-02 multi-system drift audit (Scribe
parent task #552):
- **#553 (web)** Tailwind class fix: web admin playback-errors Delete
confirm button was using `bg-action-danger`, an undefined token —
swap to `bg-action-destructive` to match every other destructive
button. Restored the Oxblood signal that distinguishes Delete from
Cancel.
- **#555 (web)** Type the `source` field on `play_started` in the
EventRequest discriminated union. Server's eventRequest accepts it;
web's TS type was missing the slot, so a "drop extra properties"
refactor could silently strip the source tag and break system-
playlist rotation attribution.
- **#556 + #557 (server)** Coverage rollup whitelist was pinned to
('sidecar','embedded','mbcaa','theaudiodb'); migration 0020 added
'deezer' and 'lastfm' as valid cover_art_source values but those
never got wired in, so albums with art from those providers
silently counted as MISSING in the admin Coverage dashboard. The
rollup test was seeding only the pre-0020 sources, masking the
gap in CI. Extend the query to include deezer + lastfm; seed the
test with one row per valid source (regression-guards future
additions).
- **#558 (web)** Auth gate was blocking /forgot-password and
/reset-password/<token> — both are entered without a session by
definition, so the email-link reset flow was bouncing signed-out
users to /login. Add /forgot-password to the public set and a
/reset-password/ prefix matcher. New tests assert both routes
reach their pages without redirect.
- **#571 (server)** Library scanner was indexing only .mp3/.m4a/.flac
/.ogg while the stream handler (media.go) had been extended to
serve .opus, .aac, and .wav. A user with .opus files in their
library never saw them in artist/album listings because the
scanner skipped indexing — silent data loss. Aligned the scanner
to match the media handler.
Scribe statuses updated to in_progress; flipping to done after the
push since these are mechanical and verified directly against the
cited file:lines.
Surfaces client-reported playback failures from /api/admin/playback-errors
in a new admin tab. Tabs: Unresolved (default) / Resolved. Each row
shows track + artist + album, error kind badge, who hit it, when,
optional client-supplied detail, and the absolute file path so the
operator can grep the library mount without leaving the page.
Per-row actions (RowActionsMenu):
- Resolve (primary) — modal with Fixed / Ignored dropdown for the
"no further action taken" cases.
- Copy — JSON payload to clipboard with track_id / file_path / kind
/ detail / reporter / client_id / occurred_at. Matches the
operator's "logs with a copy-out function" ask.
- Delete file (danger, modal-confirm) — uses the existing
/api/admin/quarantine/{track_id}/delete-file endpoint AND
auto-stamps resolution='deleted' so a single click closes both
the file and the inbox row.
Deferred to a follow-up: Hide (the existing quarantine flow is
per-user-flag, not a true library-hide), and Re-request via Lidarr
(needs album MBID join — not in the current ListAdminPlaybackErrors
projection).
Also: admin tab list grows from five to six; AdminTabs.test.ts
updated.
Out-of-library suggestion artists (artist_similarity_unmatched rows)
have no local art row, so the Discover card always showed a
placeholder. Resolve art on-demand from Lidarr's artist lookup,
matched by MBID (foreignArtistId == candidate_mbid), and pass the
remote image URL straight through — no caching (a suggestion may
never be viewed; the browser fetches the URL directly).
- suggestionView gains image_url (omitempty); handler resolves it via
bounded-concurrency Lidarr LookupArtist, best-effort, never fails
the request.
- Lidarr is the sole source: disabled / unreachable / no-match →
empty → existing placeholder. (No inline TheAudioDB fallback — it's
externally rate-limited and there's no cache to amortize it.)
- web: ArtistSuggestion.image_url?; SuggestionFeed passes it to
DiscoverResultCard (already supports imageUrl).

Operator feedback (2026-05-09): the 500-album cap meant cover art rolled
in over many nightly runs even when local sources (sidecar/embedded)
could finish in minutes. Remove the global cap; rely on the existing
per-provider HTTP throttle (coverart httpClient MinInterval) so local
art is disk-speed and remote providers stay TOS-friendly.
- enricher.go / artist_enricher.go: EnrichBatch, EnrichArtistBatch,
EnrichRetryMissing now treat limit<0 as unbounded (0 still = stage
disabled). The cap was a SQL LIMIT; unbounded uses max int32.
- main.go: RunScanConfig EnrichCap/ArtistEnrichCap = -1 (unbounded).
- Drop LibraryConfig.CoverArtBackfillCap + the
MINSTREL_LIBRARY_COVERART_BACKFILL_CAP env var.
- Drop the now-dead coverBackfillCap param threaded through
server.New + api.Mount + the handlers struct.
- Admin bulk refetch (/api/admin/covers/refetch-missing) now drains
unbounded; response {queued:int} → {started:bool} (the count is
unknowable synchronously for a fire-and-forget drain). Web copy +
client type + Go/web tests updated to match.
No doc refs existed (config.example.yaml / docker-compose / README
never documented the env var).

Replaces the per-kind refresh/shuffle handlers with one generic
pair driven off the kind registry, in lockstep across both clients.
Server:
- systemPlaylistKind gains Singleton; RefreshableSystemKind(key)
exported. for_you/discover singleton; songs_like_artist not.
- New generic POST /api/playlists/system/{kind}/refresh and
GET /api/playlists/system/{kind}/shuffle ({kind} = raw
system_variant). Non-singleton/unknown kind → 404. Deleted
playlists_{foryou,discover}_refresh.go and the per-kind shuffle
wrappers; serveSystemPlaylistShuffle core kept.
- playlistRowView.refreshable: server-derived flag so clients show
the refresh affordance generically without hardcoding kinds.
Web (not drift-cached → uses the server flag):
- refreshSystem(variant) replaces refreshForYou/refreshDiscover;
systemShuffle drops the for_you→for-you mapping (raw variant).
- PlaylistCard + detail page gate the kebab/Refresh button on
playlist.refreshable; label is "Refresh {name}". Tests reworked;
obsolete refresh-foryou/discover api tests deleted.
Flutter (list tiles are drift-cache-sourced → derive, no migration):
- Playlist.refreshable getter = isSystem && variant !=
songs_like_artist (holds for all current + planned kinds).
- refreshSystem/systemShuffle use the raw variant; PlaylistCard +
detail screen gate kebab/Regenerate/source-tagging on refreshable
so songs_like_artist plays via get() (no by-kind endpoint).
Pure-plumbing refactor; CI verifies parity. Next (R3): the five
discovery mixes — each a candidate query + one registry entry.

Web half of Stage 3. System-playlist tile play now:
- calls the new GET /api/playlists/system/{variant}/shuffle endpoint
(rotation-aware order from the server) instead of getPlaylist;
plays the returned order AS-IS — no client Fisher-Yates, since
the server already ordered it. Supersedes #413's client shuffle
for system playlists specifically; user playlists keep getPlaylist
+ stored order.
- tags the queue with the system variant. The player store carries
_queueSource; the events dispatcher includes `source` on
play_started so the server advances that playlist's rotation.
User playlists are unchanged (getPlaylist, plain playQueue, no
source). Tests updated: For-You play hits systemShuffle (not
getPlaylist/refresh) and passes source:for_you; user play uses
getPlaylist + plain playQueue with no source.
Flutter half is blocked — the Flutter client has no play-event
reporting at all (no /api/events POST, no scrobble), so there's no
play_started to attach `source` to. Surfacing that as a separate
decision rather than silently scope-exploding #415.

Web client posts Intl.DateTimeFormat().resolvedOptions().timeZone to
PUT /api/me/timezone after every successful login, register, and
bootstrap when the locally-stored tz_last_sent_at is >7 days old.
Cadence tracked in localStorage keeps the server stateless on the
"is this stale?" check.
Failures swallowed: the server's UTC default + last-known value keep
the scheduler functioning until the next successful attempt. SSR-
safe via the typeof window guard.

Half of #369 — the auto-poll piece. Inbox deferred (separate task).
Both /requests (user) and /admin/requests (admin, 'approved' tab only)
now refetch every 12s while at least one row has status='approved'.
Stops automatically when all rows settle to pending/completed/rejected.
TanStack Query's default refetchIntervalInBackground=false handles
the visibility behavior — polling pauses when the tab is hidden and
resumes on focus.
Predicate hasInFlightRequest() is exported + tested so the polling
logic is auditable independent of TanStack Query's internals.

After e8eff1b migrated playlists.ts from raw apiFetch to the api.*
wrapper, three test files mocked the wrong surface:
- playlists.test.ts: GET case asserted init.method === 'GET' but
api.get omits init.method entirely (fetch defaults to GET). Fall
back to 'GET' when init.method is undefined.
- playlists.refresh-discover.test.ts: re-mock ./client to expose
`api: { post: vi.fn() }` instead of `apiFetch`; assertions check
api.post call args.
- playlists.refresh-foryou.test.ts: same.

Drop 9 hand-rolled apiFetch calls with redundant Content-Type
headers + manual JSON.stringify. The api.* wrapper in client.ts
already handles both. Identical wire shape; existing tests cover
all endpoints.
Also makes api.del generic so DELETE endpoints with typed returns
(playlist track removal) can use the wrapper instead of raw
apiFetch. Default `T = null` preserves existing callers.

Final task of PR2 DRY pass. Extracts the verbatim
`offset + items.length >= total` math repeated across 8
createInfiniteQuery sites into a single Page<T>-shape helper.
The task spec described a bare-array helper signature
(lastPage: T[], pageSize-based stop), but no call site in this
repo uses that shape — every paged endpoint returns a Page<T>
envelope. The helper is named pageGetNextPageParam and matches
the actual canonical shape so the 8 copies could collapse.
Migrated:
- likes.ts: 3 sites (TrackRef, AlbumRef, ArtistRef)
- albums.ts: 1 site (AlbumRef)
- queries.ts: 4 sites (artists + 3 search facets)
history.ts left alone — uses has_more/total, different shape.
Lands four of the U3 frontend surfaces. Splits T5 because the
dispatch covering everything in one shot crashed the runtime
mid-execution; this is the salvageable half.
- /settings gains three cards alongside Appearance: Profile
(display name + email), Password (current + new + confirm with
client-side mismatch check), API Token (display + copy +
regenerate-with-double-click-confirm). Server error codes map
to clear toasts.
- /forgot-password — public; takes an email and always shows the
success message regardless of whether the email is on file
(mirrors the server's no-enumeration posture).
- Login page gets a "Forgot password?" link below the existing
register link.
- API client functions for the four /me endpoints (changePassword,
updateProfile, getAPIToken, regenerateAPIToken), the SMTP admin
trio (getSMTPConfig, updateSMTPConfig, testSMTPConfig), and the
forgot/reset auth pair (forgotPassword, resetPassword).
Tests for these surfaces + /reset-password page + admin SMTP card
land in T5b (next follow-up).
Extends the U1 /admin/users page with the four U2 admin endpoints.
- "New user" button opens a modal: username, optional display
name, password + confirm, optional admin checkbox. Validates
password match client-side; surface server-side errors
(username_taken, username_invalid, password_too_short).
- Per-row "Delete" opens a confirm modal explaining the cascade
(plays, likes, sessions). Last-admin guard surfaces as a clear
toast if the server refuses.
- Per-row "Reset password" opens a small modal: new password +
confirm. Toast confirms success.
- Per-row "Enable / Disable auto-approve" toggles the
per-user flag (the #355 sub-feature surface). Inline button
state reflects the current value.
AdminUser type extended with auto_approve_requests; the badge
appears next to the admin badge when enabled.
Tests cover create-user submit, delete confirm flow, last-admin
toast on delete, reset-password submit, auto-approve toggle.

New admin route /admin/users with two sections:
- Accounts — table of all users (username, optional display name,
admin badge, created_at). Per-row "Make admin" / "Remove admin"
button calls PUT /api/admin/users/{id}/admin. Last-admin guard
surfaces as a toast ("Can't remove the last admin — promote
someone else first").
- Invites — list of active invites with Copy + Revoke per row.
"Generate invite" button creates a 24h token. Operator shares
the token with the invitee, who enters it on /register.
AdminTabs gains a "Users" tab (5 tabs total). New typed client
functions in admin.ts (listUsers, updateUserAdmin, listInvites,
createInvite, deleteInvite) plus query factory functions
createAdminUsersQuery / createAdminInvitesQuery and query keys
qk.adminUsers / qk.adminInvites.
Tests cover: list rendering, admin badge, promote/demote actions,
last-admin guard toast, invite generation, revoke flow, empty states.
AdminTabs.test.ts updated to assert 5 tabs and Users active state.

Click on the For-You tile's play button now triggers a synchronous
refresh, then enqueues + auto-plays the freshly-built playlist.
Two-click-target tile pattern: tile BODY click still navigates to
the playlist detail page (existing behavior); the play button is
the new generate-and-play action.
Behavior is gated on playlist.system_variant === 'for_you' — every
other playlist (user, Discover, Songs-like-X) keeps the existing
"fetch detail, enqueue, play" flow. The atomic-replace BuildSystem-
Playlists creates a new playlist_id, so the play handler uses the
refresh response's id for the follow-up getPlaylist call rather
than the stale tile prop's id.
Empty-library response (playlist_id: null) is a no-op — clicking
play in a degenerate-empty library doesn't error, it just doesn't
start playback. Caches are invalidated post-refresh so the home
view re-fetches and the tile re-renders with the new id, avoiding
the corner case of a click-then-tile-body 404.
Tests cover the refresh-and-play happy path, the empty-library
no-op, and that non-For-You playlists keep the existing flow.

Operator can refresh their Discover playlist without waiting for
the next daily cron tick. Two surfaces, both gated on
system_variant === 'discover':
- Detail page header: "Refresh" button next to the cover art / meta.
- Home Playlists row tile kebab: "Refresh Discover" menu item.
Both call POST /api/playlists/system/discover/refresh, show a
confirmation toast, and invalidate the playlist + playlists queries
so the new content lands without a manual page reload.
Extends Playlist.system_variant union with 'discover'. Adds
refreshDiscover() typed client. Tests cover client behaviour
(success + empty-library) plus conditional rendering on both
surfaces.
POST /api/admin/cover-sources/research bumps cover_art_sources_meta.
current_version unconditionally; the next enrichment pass re-eligibles
every 'none' row. Existing positively-sourced rows are not affected —
the version-mismatch eligibility rule only kicks in for 'none'.
Admin Cover Art panel gains a "Re-search missing art" button that
calls the endpoint and shows a confirmation toast. Operator's escape
hatch when:
- They've added a Last.fm key and want to retry failed rows
immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled scan.
- An upstream provider's catalog has updated (e.g. Deezer added a
back-catalog import).
- They want to verify a fix end-to-end before the next scheduled
scan fires.
SettingsService.BumpVersion (the unconditional version of T5's
BumpVersionIfProvidersChanged) is the single-call DB writer; both
endpoints route through it.

Adds ScanSchedule type, getScanSchedule / updateScanSchedule
against the new admin endpoints, createScanScheduleQuery (60s
staleTime; refetches on focus + after PATCH invalidation — no
polling).
New qk.scanSchedule() key follows the existing tuple pattern.
ScanScheduleUpdate uses optional fields so mode=off updates can
omit per-mode fields entirely (server normalizes anyway).
Vitest covers the GET path, PATCH with body, and the mode=off
minimal-body case.

Adds CoverProvider type + capability union, getCoverProviders /
updateCoverProvider / testCoverProvider against the three new admin
endpoints, plus createCoverProvidersQuery (60s staleTime; refetches
on focus + after mutations rather than polling — settings rarely
change in operator time).
New api.patch helper added to client.ts (the existing helpers were
get/post/put/del; PATCH was missing).
New qk.coverProviders() key follows the existing tuple pattern.
api_key_set: bool replaces echoing the credential. UpdateCoverProviderPatch
uses optional fields so the operator can change just enabled, just
key, or both atomically.
Vitest covers GET path, PATCH path with body, version_bumped
response, POST /test path with empty body, ok=false error response.

Adds an artist-art-enrich stage after cover-enrich in RunScan. The
stage drains EnrichArtistBatch with a configurable cap and the
operator's data_dir, persists processed/succeeded/failed tallies to
the scan_runs.artist_art_enrich jsonb column added in migration
0018.
The admin /admin Library Scan card grid expands from 3 to 4 columns
with the new "Artist art" card mirroring the cover-enrichment one
(Processed / Succeeded / Failed). The TS ScanStatus type gains an
optional artist_art_enrich field. The Go scanStatusResp gains the
matching ArtistArtEnrich json.RawMessage field.
cmd/minstrel/main.go (and admin scan-trigger handler) wire the new
RunScanConfig fields: ArtistEnrichCap reuses cfg.Library.CoverArtBackfillCap
for now (can be split if separate budgets are useful), DataDir is
cfg.Storage.DataDir.

Adds CoverageRollup type, getCoverageRollup() against
/api/admin/library/coverage, and createCoverageQuery() with the same
3s/30s pacing used by scan-status. New qk.coverage() key follows the
existing zero-arg tuple pattern. Vitest covers the GET path and the
empty-library zero-state plus the with_art + pending + settled = total
invariant.
Forward-fix from running the prior two commits in production. Backfill
on a real library exposed two further issues:
(1) gofmt -s flagged the column-aligned stubMeta methods in
mbids_test.go. Switched to the gofmt-canonical single-space form.
(2) Many albums failed to heal with SQLSTATE 23505 (unique constraint
albums_mbid_unique). Cause: the operator's library has duplicate
album rows in the DB — same MusicBrainz release, split into
multiple rows by the pre-MBID scanner because of subtle title or
artist disagreements between files. When backfill now correctly
extracts the MBID, two rows want to claim the same one and the
partial unique index rejects the second.
The conflict is correct DB behavior — we shouldn't have two rows
with the same MBID — but it's not a write failure to alarm the
operator about. Detect 23505 specifically:
- downgrade the log line from Warn to Info
- track these in a new BackfillMBIDsResult.Duplicates counter
(separate from Skipped, which retains its "no MBID in tag"
meaning)
- leave the duplicate row's mbid NULL; merging duplicates is a
separate (future) operator workflow
Same handling threaded through the scanner heal path so a regular
rescan doesn't generate the noise either.
JSON tally + admin UI gain a "Duplicates" line so the operator
can see how many duplicate rows their library carries.
Follow-up scope (separate task): a duplicate-album merge UX that
reparents the duplicate's tracks to the canonical row and deletes
the orphaned album row.

Adds getScanStatus/triggerScan helpers, createScanStatusQuery factory
(3s poll), qk.scanStatus(), and a Library Scan section on the admin
overview page with per-stage tallies and inline Run scan button.

Adds cover_art_source to AlbumRef, two admin API helpers (refetchAlbumCover,
refetchMissingCovers), a per-album retry button gated on is_admin in the album
detail page, and a bulk-refetch section in the admin overview.

Wire shapes mirror the server's snake_case envelope. URL helpers use
the existing apiFetch + ApiError surface so error codes (not_found,
not_authorized, bad_request, server_error) propagate via the same
copyForCode chain as everything else.
DELETE /api/admin/tracks/{id} with optional ?unmonitor=true. Returns
the typed envelope with optional cascaded album/artist ids and the
lidarr_unmonitor_failed flag (only set on Lidarr-side failure when
unmonitor was requested — the file + DB delete still succeeded).
Caller invalidates TanStack Query keys for any vanished entities.
Three admin pages had divergent inline error-code → user-copy switch
tables (with wording drift, including a stale "Settings → Integrations"
that should have been Admin). Consolidate into web/src/lib/styles/error-copy.json,
expose via web/src/lib/api/error-copy.ts (ERROR_COPY + copyForCode),
and refactor the three pages to import the helper.
Fixes the three-way drift; the only user-visible behavior change is
the quarantine page now correctly says "Admin → Integrations".
Sets up the JSON for the M7 Flutter client (#356) to consume the same
table.
