bvandeusenandClaude Opus 5.5 d065cafd11 feat(snmp): NAS presets for Synology and Asustor, reading every disk and volume (#5985, #5986)
CI / lint (push) Successful in 3s
CI / unit (push) Successful in 1m38s

CI / publish (push) Successful in 1m31s
A preset can now read a vendor's tables: one row per disk, volume, fan or
sensor. The scheduled poll discovers the rows by walking the device: on its
first poll, after a save, and then hourly, and only while it answers. Each row
becomes readings named by the device's own labels ("Disk 1 status"). Only the
columns a row answered are asked for.

A vendor status, whether a code (Synology) or a word (Asustor), is a state
reading. It is stored as a level (0 OK, 1 busy, 2 warning, 3 failed), so one
alert rule covers any vendor, and shown in the device's own word.

- Synology: system, power and fan status and temperature; per disk: status,
health, temperature and bad sectors; per volume: RAID state (scrubbing,
parity check, rebuild, degraded), free space and size.
- Asustor: per disk: status, SMART and temperature; per volume: status, free
space and size; CPU and system temperature, free memory and fans.
  From ADM's ASUSTOR-DISK-MIB and ASUSTOR-SYSTEM-MIB.
- Linux server: plus each physical disk's 1-minute busy % (UCD-DISKIO-MIB).

Migration snmp_002_table_rows adds tables, tables_at and texts to
snmp_devices. Milestone 530.

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 5.5 9ca2e38fa1 feat(snmp): devices you add, test and read on the SNMP page (milestone 491)

The operator, reviewing SNMP on #5214: "this system looks incomplete like
there's something missing from it". The one device shown was plugin.yaml's
example (core-switch 192.168.1.1, community public), polled every minute;
devices could only be defined by editing YAML in the image; a failed poll was
logged at DEBUG and stored nowhere, so the page said "waiting for the next
poll" forever; v3 ran as v2c; counters showed as lifetime totals.

- Devices are rows (snmp_devices, migration snmp_001): address, port,
v1/v2c community or a v3 user with auth/priv protocols and keys (secrets
encrypted), presets plus custom readings, an optional host binding, and
the newest poll's outcome. The YAML device list and its example are gone.
- The SNMP page adds, edits and deletes them (admin, audited, with
get_audit_entities so the audit log names and links a device). Readings
come from presets (system uptime, interface traffic by number, UPS-MIB,
Linux net-snmp) and custom "OID name [unit]" lines.
- One GET per device with every OID, devices polled at once. The outcome is
written to the row in words ("No reply from … within 5 s. Check the address
and port, that SNMP is on, and the community"), with readings it lacks.
v1's whole-request error drops that OID and asks again. SNMPv3 signs in
  with USM (MD5/SHA-1/SHA-2, DES/3DES/AES).
- Test asks the unsaved form's device for its name, description, uptime and
interfaces by number. It is an admin's explicit action; every page reads
only stored rows (System 178's ruling).
- Each reading has a unit; a counter is stored as a per-second rate (bytes as
bit/s), a reset or wrap skipped. The page, widget and host panel say values
in units and why a device is silent; the device page draws a chart per
  reading on a dated axis.

Tests: readings and presets, the form and its secrets, v3 checks, rates,
the poller against a stand-in pysnmp (one GET, v1 retry, timeout wording,
USM), the pages, and an integration test of the poll writing outcomes and
rates on Postgres.

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 5.5 0d603bc7dd feat(snmp): Devices widget gives a verdict, status in words and readable key readings (#5255)

#5255 "SNMP — Devices: status in words and key readings".

- Verdict first: "All N devices answering", "ups: no reply since 14m ago",
"N of M devices not answering", or "N not polled yet".
- Devices that stopped answering come first, then those never polled, then
  the rest.
- One header row: Device / Readings / Polled.
- The name is the link; the separate "detail →" is gone.
- The hollow dot is replaced by words: "no data yet", or "no reply since …;
  readings are from then".
- Key readings: the first two in config order, gauges ahead of counters.
Units come from the label suffix: _centisecs as a duration, _pct, _dV as
  volts, _octets as bytes total.

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 5.5 8e890c6914 feat(ui): host page leads with its alerts; old readings say how old (#5210)

#5210 "Problems first, with since-time, across every list" (milestone 477),
second batch.

- Host page: an "Alerts on this host" strip first (rules on its agent
series, its containers or its monitors: alert_svc.watches_host); its
monitors problems first with "Down 12m · reason"; Docker above Ansible.
- Uptime page and widget: worst 24h uptime first, then 7d and 30d; hosts
  with no uptime yet last.
- Agent panel and fleet widget: last seen as "3m ago", not a clock time.
- SNMP: a device is "Reachable" only while it answered within the last 3
polls; older readings say "No answer" with their age, and every device
says when it was last read (was: reachable whenever any reading existed).
- Traefik: a router missing from 3 scrapes in a row is listed apart as no
longer reported, by when it was last seen, instead of keeping its last
state (a removed router stayed Failing).

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 5.5 b8f73270e7 perf(metrics): a latest-value table for "what is it now"; dashboard cells say loading, failed and as-of (#5208)
CI / lint (push) Successful in 3s
CI / integration (push) Failing after 1m14s
CI / unit (push) Successful in 1m33s
CI / publish (push) Skipped
The dashboard's host widgets took 18-60 s. Every "latest reading" query
(hosts overview, host-agent fleet, host page, vitals, SNMP, MCP get_host)
searched plugin_metrics for the newest row per metric. Postgres has no skip
scan, so each one read every raw sample in the 7-day window.

- plugin_metric_latest: one row per (source, resource, metric).
record_metrics upserts it in the same transaction, moving forward only and
in sorted key order. Migration 0030 seeds it by stepping the existing index.
- Retention drops a latest row once its sample leaves the raw window, so a
resource that stopped reporting disappears when its history does, as before.
  Renames carry it along.
- A quiet host keeps its last values, marked stale. A time-bounded query
would have shown it as missing.
- Vitals sparklines span the 6 h they claim, averaged in SQL to ~120 points,
instead of fetching 6 h raw and drawing the last 120 samples.
- Dashboard and share-view cells: "Loading…" until the first answer; a 20 s
deadline per fetch; "Couldn't load (why)" with Retry now and an automatic
retry for cells that don't poll; "as of HH:MM" in the header, and
"couldn't refresh · as of" when a refresh fails over shown data.

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 4.8 b1aabb7dfa feat(snmp): explicit host binding (host_id / steward_host) with implicit fallback
CI / lint (push) Successful in 2s
CI / unit (push) Successful in 45s
CI / integration (push) Successful in 2m18s
CI / publish (push) Successful in 1m2s
SNMP devices map onto a Steward host's detail page via _devices_for_host,
which previously matched the device's `host` field (the SNMP poll target)
against the Host's address/name — a coincidence of strings that breaks when
the poll target differs from how the Host is recorded.

Add two optional per-device config fields that decouple the binding from the
poll target:
  • host_id — exact Steward Host UUID match (the explicit link)
  • steward_host — friendly bind by Host name or address (case-insensitive)

An explicit binding is exclusive: a device bound to host A never implicitly
matches host B by a coincidental address. No explicit binding → existing
implicit `host`-string match (fully backward compatible).

host_panel passes host.id and badges explicitly-bound devices. plugin.yaml
documents the new fields. Tests cover explicit id/name, exclusivity, wrong
uuid, and legacy fallback.

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 4.8 51682f130a feat(snmp): surface SNMP device readings on the matching host page
CI / lint (push) Successful in 3s
CI / publish (push) Successful in 53s
CI / unit (push) Successful in 46s
CI / integration (push) Successful in 2m17s
SNMP devices are config-defined by IP/hostname, not Steward Host records, so
they had no presence on a host's page. Map them by address and embed a fragment
(mirrors the Docker per-host fragment).

- _devices_for_host(devices_cfg, address, name): case-insensitive match of a
device's configured host to the Steward host's address or name (tolerates
  non-dict / host-less entries).
- Route /plugins/snmp/host/<id>: renders the matched device(s) + latest readings,
or nothing when none map (so hosts without SNMP carry no empty card).
- snmp/host_panel.html: per-device card (name · address · reachability) with a
readings grid (K/M scaling) and a History link to the full device page.
- hosts/detail.html embeds it after the Docker fragment, gated on snmp enabled.
- Unit test for the matching helper (by address, by name, no-match, blank).

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 4.8 af60ca446d fix(plugins): complete steward rename across bundled plugins; clear lint debt
CI / integration (push) Successful in 2m8s
CI / lint (push) Successful in 3s
CI / unit (push) Successful in 7s
The fabledscryer->steward rename had only ever reached host_agent. The other
five bundled plugins (http, snmp, traefik, unifi, docker) still imported
`from fabledscryer.*` (package no longer exists) and read FABLEDSCRYER_* env
vars — so every one of them was broken at import since the original rebrand.
CI stayed green only because none are enabled by default and migrations don't
import plugin modules. Now that they version in-tree, complete the rename:
- fabledscryer.* -> steward.* imports across all five plugins
- FABLEDSCRYER_* -> STEWARD_* in plugin migration env.py files
- author/repository/homepage + user-facing 'Fabled Scryer' strings -> Steward
- snmp/scheduler.py: also drop dead `now`/datetime; record_metric from steward

Adds tests/test_no_legacy_names.py — fails if 'scryer'/'roundtable' ever
reappear in shipped code (the drift bit twice; this stops a third time).

Also clears pre-existing ruff lint debt (unused imports, semicolon statements,
mid-file import) surfaced by the new lint lane.

bvandeusenandClaude Opus 4.8 a7a281cb11 feat(plugins): fold first-party plugins in-tree; bundled + external roots
First-party plugins (host_agent, http, snmp, traefik, unifi, docker) are now
tracked under plugins/ and baked into the image, so they version atomically
with core — ending the cross-repo import drift the roundtable->steward rename
exposed. History for these files is preserved in the archived Roundtable-plugins
repo.

Plugin discovery becomes multi-root: PLUGIN_DIR (single) -> PLUGIN_DIRS
(bundled first, then external) + PLUGIN_INSTALL_DIR. Bundled ships in the image;
third-party plugins still mount at runtime into the external root
(STEWARD_PLUGIN_DIR, default /data/plugins) and downloads/installs land there.
Bundled shadows external on a name collision.

- config.py: load_bootstrap returns plugin_dirs + plugin_install_dir
- app.py: iterate PLUGIN_DIRS at the migration + load sites
- migration_runner.py: discover_all_in() unions every plugin root
- plugin_manager.py: resolve_plugin_path() (pure, first-root-wins); load /
install / hot-reload span all roots; installs target the external root
- settings/routes.py: _discover_plugins scans all roots, dedup bundled-first
- Dockerfile: COPY plugins/ ; docker-compose: drop host bind, document external
- tests/test_plugin_dirs.py: resolution, multi-root discovery, bootstrap split
