rename(547): the plugin is grimoire — manifest, MCP key, hooks, env, skills

Step 3 of the Scribe -> Grimoire rename. - Plugin `grimoire` in marketplace `grimoire-plugin`, MCP server key `grimoire`, so tools reach a session as mcp__plugin_grimoire_grimoire__*. - hooks/scribe_* -> hooks/grimoire_*, their shell functions and the TMPDIR ledgers with them; SCRIBE_URL / SCRIBE_TOKEN / SCRIBE_HOOK_DIR / SCRIBE_LEDGER_DIRS -> GRIMOIRE_*; the project marker is `.grimoire`. - skills/using-scribe -> using-grimoire, /grimoire:sync, stored processes arrive as grimoire-proc-<slug>; moment_actions names them the same way. - Migration 0124 rewrites stored skill names (rule_moments, rule_moment_judgments, moment_mappings) from scribe:/scribe-proc- to grimoire:/grimoire-proc-, so a rule mounted on a skill keeps firing. - Settings' install commands and MCP-only defaults, the docs and the tests follow. - scripts/check_plugin.py drops the smoke event for a report-check hook that has no file in plugin/hooks. Kept on purpose: the secret-sealing label, and the names that let backups written as Scribe restore and be counted. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

rename(547): what people read says Grimoire

Step 1 of the Scribe -> Grimoire rename: every capitalised "Scribe" in prose
becomes "Grimoire" ("Fabled Scribe" -> "Fabled Grimoire") across the UI,
the PWA manifest and page title, the MCP instructions and tool docstrings,
hook and skill text, docs and README, with the tests that assert on that
prose moving with it. Old migrations keep their wording.
Identifiers are untouched here: the package, plugin name, MCP server key,
hook file names, env vars, the .scribe marker and FabledScribe repo/image
names move in steps 2 and 3, along with prose that quotes them.
The sweep matched "Scribe" only as a whole word, so describe/subscribe and
friends are untouched. The longer name took the MCP instructions one
character over their 1,600 budget; two phrases are shortened to fit.

MCP tool docstrings and comments, the server's orientation notes, the plugin skills, every hook script and the plugin README/PACKAGING drop record ids, milestone numbers, dates and incident stories, and state each non-obvious why as a present-tense fact. History stays in the task logs. Corrections found on the way: - plugin README/PACKAGING said every hook is a GET; moment, rule-opened and reply-rules POST, so the plugin's key needs write scope. Both now say so, name Settings -> MCP Access, and list every wired hook and endpoint. - the contract-change hint printed "(lesson #4207)", this instance's record, to every install. It no longer cites a record. - tasks.py claimed there is no delete_task; there is. - rulebooks.py cited delete_event and a design spec that no longer exist. - scribe_after_write.sh carried an always-empty etag_q; removed. - test_write_path_trigger pinned "| tac | scribe_defs | head -1", text that existed only in a comment about the old code; it now pins the real tail -1 pipeline. - docs/development.md: CI runs on Gitea Actions. feat(500): one end-of-turn request - the completion-section check folds into the reply check

CI & Build / Plugin hooks (push) Successful in 13s
CI & Build / TypeScript typecheck (push) Successful in 53s

The Stop hook sent the finished reply twice: scribe_report_check.sh checked a task-closing reply for the completion sections in shell and reported to /report-check, and scribe_reply_check.sh sent the same reply to /reply-rules for the rule hold. Now the reply goes once. When the turn closed a task the hook adds the close count and ids, and the server runs the section check (services/report_check, the same three patterns) beside the reply hold, folding both into one reason. The report_check adherence log is still written for every checked reply (milestone 409's number). A section hold marks the session, so its rewrite is sent back once with rewrite:true to record how it came out, and is never held. The block reason carries the completion shape's one line and points at list_reply_shapes rather than at the skill. #5496 (step 4 of milestone 500). feat(shapes): the agent judges what it wrote, at the end of the turn (milestone 439 steps 1-3)

CI & Build / TypeScript typecheck (push) Successful in 54s

Recording used to be decided by machinery — the only "record it" prompt fired when a same-named copy already existed (#2664), so a first instance of a reusable piece was never asked about, and judgment arrived only through audits. Now the question is asked where the knowledge is: the end of the turn that wrote the code, of the agent that wrote it. - Write hooks keep `<sid>.written.ids` (path, kind, name) for every definition a write names; a new file adds a `file` line for its stem — a candidate in any language without a framework rule (scribe_written_append). - Stop hook scribe_shape_check.sh sends the ledger to GET /api/plugin/shape-check and blocks once, in the server's words, when anything is unjudged. Same discipline as the report check: never twice, never without a recorded check, another hook's loop left alone; the ledger is kept when the instance cannot be reached. - shape_ledger.unjudged_shapes: no row, unclassified, scoped and hook stamps are unjudged; an agent/audit/import verdict is not. A snippet recorded at the shape answers for it until the refresh stamps it canonical. - services/shape_check owns the reason text and records every outcome in app_logs (passed / blocked / judged_after_block / left_after_block). - classify_shapes(repo=…) judges a shape the ledger has not synced yet via a provisional row under a bound repo; the sync confirms it, or vanishes and revives it with the verdict intact. An unbound repo is refused. Plugin version minted. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |
